On April 7-8, 2021, the transnational analytical session "Altai Media Forum: Altai Media Barometer" was held on the basis of the Department of Media Communications, Advertising and Public Relations Technologies with the support of the laboratory "Center for Language Management and Communication Marketing of AAF", Japan Foundation, Korean Religious University. The session was attended by researchers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, China, Switzerland, Russia.

ANMB became the Fundamental Analytical Base for the Altai Barometer.
The Asian Media Barometer (ANMB) is an in-depth and comprehensive system for describing and measuring the national media environment in Asia, which is a system of analytical procedures for self-assessment at the regional level, based on criteria derived from international media freedom standards. The Asian Media Barometer serves as a practical lobbying tool for media organizations. Its analytics are presented to the public of the country concerned in order to promote and lobby for media improvements using international standards as benchmarks.

The first transnational analytical session of the Altai Media Barometer aimed to discuss the MediaAgenda of the Central Asian region. The opening of the session was preceded by a lot of organizational work

The mission to organize the session was entrusted to Maxim Voronin, Ph.D. (Forum Information Service for Foreign Speakers). Researchers from universities of Great Britain (Loughborough University), Northern Ireland (Ulster University), Finland (University of Jyväskylä), Turkey (Izmir University of Economics), Harvard University Asia Center (USA) were invited to participate in the analytical session "Altai Media Forum: Altai Media Barometer". Sabine Michele, Professor of Media and Cultural Analysis at Loughborough University, wished the session a success, regretting that she could not participate because she was on vacation. A considerable amount of preparatory organizational work was carried out by the members of the organizing committee - E.V. Valyulina, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Media Communications, Advertising Technologies and CRM, D.V. Anikin, Associate Professor of the Department of MTRiSO, D.V. Anikin, Senior Lecturer of the Department of MTRiSO, A.V. Zherebnenko, and members of the group. Zherebnenko and members of the communication support group of the session Anna Kashirskikh and Lilia Sukhomlinova.
ORGANIZATIONAL WORK
On April 7, Roman Ilyich Raikin, Vice-Rector for the Development of International Activities of Altai State University, addressed the participants of the transnational analytical session with a welcoming speech, in which he drew attention to the significance of the event for the Altai and Central Asian regions, the value potential of the problems proposed for discussion on the agenda of the session, the work of the analytical session was held in the Session: Premium format – in the first day and Evaluation – on the second day.

On the second day, the media discussions continued at two venues Evaluation Session I (moderators: E.V. Valulina, D.V. Anikin) and Evaluation Session II (moderators: N.V. Khalina, A.V. Zherebnenko). At the first site, the issues of media communications were discussed by teachers of the Department of Media Communications, Advertising Technologies and SO, the Department of Linguistics, Translation and Foreign Languages of IMKFiP, the Department of RCT of Altai State University. Russian Agrarian Correspondence University, teachers of Chinese universities. On the second platform, Russian and Chinese students of the Department of Mass Communications, Advertising Technologies and SO shared their experience of mastering the media space. The research and media diversity was presented on a full scale. The technical support of the work of research sites at a high level was provided by Anikin, Associate Professor of the Department of Media Communications, Advertising Technologies and Co.V., Anikin.

A special structural and compositional element of the session were media projects prepared by teachers (Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor M.V.
